“A fascinating little short hole of only 130 yards long. The green used to be guarded by a pretty green marsh, but in time the green marsh became black mud; so now in its place we have a winding stream encircling an island. It is a pretty piece on which grow all manner of flowers of landscape gardening which will very soon look as if only the hand of nature has done it and moreover, looks apart, that high-dropping, quick-stopping shot to the small terraced green needs plenty of playing. Let us hope that we get a three there, for it is our last chance, and we shall do nobly indeed if we finish with fours.”
