How to Join

There are two ways to become a member of West Sussex Golf Club. Most new members join through introduction by two existing members who have known them for at least three years, with the proposer guiding the applicant through each step.

If you’re new to the area and haven’t yet met anyone at the club, you can apply directly by sending a short personal letter and form, supported by references. You’ll then be invited for a friendly round with a current member before moving into the main process.

All applicants follow the same stages: an interview, a play in round, and a short period in the Candidates Book. Successful candidates are then reviewed by the Board and placed in a waiting pool until space becomes available.

Once selected, you’ll be invited to join, with membership confirmed on payment of the joining fee and the six monthly subscription.
